Stacy Haiduk In Superboy

Copyright 2008 by Pat Powers
Oh, Luigi! Truly this is great art disguised as the "Nightmare Island" episode of a defunct television series called "Superboy"!
The beautiful young woman, she is trapped in an iron cage by the dwarf, no? What can it symbolize but her own trapped desires held prisoner by her stunted development as a social being created by watching too much American television? And see, the dwarf is feeding her an imitation leather pizza! What better symbol of rampant consumerism gone awry than this? Eh?
Wait a moment? You say that is a gag, that it is supposed to silence her? But how can that be? She is clearly having to clamp down on it with her teeth to keep it from falling out of her mouth! It might BE a gag if it were tied and in place and her hands were restrained so she could not remove it. It might somehow symbolize a gag if it were perhaps jammed into her mouth so that she might have to spit it out. But this ... she must hold on to it to keep it in place? How is that a gag, whose function is to silence the wearer against her will? Are they perhaps trying to say that in corrupt modern society women are forced to silence themselves by the angry dwarves of patriarchal culture while trapped behind the iron bars of convention?
Or is it just a Loosie Award winner? Of course! The Loosie Awards? Why did I not think of it already?
